The market is currently flooded with all sorts of all-in-one machines. Why they’re popular isn’t surprising as they help conserve both money and space. One of these indispensable office tools is the Canon MF9280CDN printer. Other than printing, it can carry out your everyday copying, scanning and faxing tasks.

Image Feature

It uses a 600 x 600 dpi (dots per inch resolution) but with the help of the Automatic Image Refinement feature, it may be boosted to 2400 x 600 dpi. Printer languages included are PCL5c, PCL6, PostScript Level-3 and UFRII-LT for easy integration into your current print environment. Printing directly from various memory media is possible, such as a USB flash drive, SD memory Card, miniSD Card, microSD Card, Memory Stick Duo, etc.

Laser Technology

Using laser beam technology in coming up with color and monochrome printouts, it’s fast enough to churn out up to 21 pages per minute. In order to save time, Canon has thrown in the Quick First-Print technology. This allows the machine to be used the moment it’s switched on. The toner saver mode lets you keep operation costs to a minimum.

Four Cartridges

Speaking of toner, this all-in-one tool uses four toner cartridges – black, cyan, yellow and magenta. Each one of them contains the drum and cleaning units. With such, maintenance requirements are significantly reduced, thereby increasing reliability. Further more, they’re hassle-free to replace because of the front-loading design used. Each cartridge is capable of yielding up to 6000 pages, based on 5 percent coverage.

Media Handling

Multiple media handling enables you to meet your deadlines. There’s a 250-sheet capacity cassette tray, a 100-sheet capacity multipurpose tray and a 50-sheet capacity duplex automatic document feeder. The latter is handy for two-sided printing, saving both time and supplies. Supported media types include plain paper, recycled, transparency, label and envelope. Supported media sizes are A4, A5, B5, legal, letter, executive and custom sizes.

Monochrome Copies

It’s capable of making as many as 21 color and monochrome copies per minute. It uses 600 x 600 dpi resolution and yields up to 99 multiple copies. Reduction and enlargement may be done from 50 to 200 percent, using 1 percent increments. Double-sided copying, frame erase, page collation, and 2-on-1 and 4-on-1 are some convenient features available.

Send Functions

Send functions allow you to scan directly to a file server, USB memory, an e-mail and i-Fax. It uses a 600 x 600 dpi resolution and has a color scanning depth of 24 bits (input and output). On the other hand, as a fax machine, it comes with a Super G3 33.6 Kbps fax modem. Features available for faxing include remote reception, fax forwarding, dual access, PC fax, speed dialing and up to 1000 pages of fax memory.

Multiple Functions

Memory amounting to 768MB is shared equally by the machine’s multiple functions. Since it’s network-ready, hooking it up to a workgroup comes hassle-free. It has a body measuring 546 mm x 527 mm x 632 mm (width x depth x height) and weighs approximately 43.3 kg. Operation becomes a breeze since the 8.8 cm color TFT display panel, Easy-Scroll Wheel and intuitive menu allows you to access the functions easily.

Professional Printouts

The Canon MF9280CDN printer not only lets you have professional-looking printouts but it also enables you copy, scan and fax. There’s no need to buy different machines to perform four different tasks with toner cartridges. This permits you to save not only money but also precious office space.
