Giving The HP LaserJet 2200 Printer A Look

Giving the HP LaserJet 2200 printer and HP LaserJet 2200 toner a look also gives one the chance to assess all of the functions and features of this workhorse laser monochrome printer. For one, it seems as if it’s intended be used in a small workgroup or as a printer-to-computer personal-type model. It works hard to deliver nice print speeds and equally fine printing quality and all at a price of about $130 before any discounts. It’s sure to be attractive to may prospective customers because of those facts.

Speed of printing from this black-and-white laser printer is actually one of the stronger selling points, which is buttressed by that low retail price for a laser printer. At 8 ppm, it won’t be considered a “speedy” printer, but combined with the low price, it makes it hard to pass the LaserJet 2200 by. Most other printers of this capability, even if they were able to meet this unit’s price, are usually a couple pages per minute lower.

Print quality offered by the HP 2200 is excellent it must be said. At 1,200 dots per inch, it will deliver a high-quality print product that will be excellent across most assessment benchmarks. Blurriness or smearing will be absent and all text will look rich and deep. Also as well, it handles the typical graphics-intensive print job when it needs to.

Physically, this HP printer is sure to please with its svelte looks. It’s only 16 inches wide by about 10 inches high and will occupy a place on a desktop with little real trouble. It’s also fairly low in weight, matching up nicely against most of the peer group within which the HP 2200 finds itself. In fact, it’s a bit of shock that the printer isn’t larger given all of the print quality it delivers along with acceptable print speed.

There’s a standard 8 MB of supplied memory, and it can be increased to about 72 MB if that’s what’s called for by the user or the workgroup to which it’ll be joined. It usually makes use of the computer’s own processing power to do all of its work, and is controlled via use of a 133 MHz processor. It might not be the speediest, but it’s able to keep everything moving along nicely and delivered with little real fuss.

When it comes to the versatility of this HP unit, it’s nice to know that it includes the ability to use a USB or a parallel port. Speaking of USB, keep in mind that a cable will need to be purchased as the LaserJet 2200 doesn’t supply one of its own. Spending the extra money to obtain a nice quality USB cable to run from the computer to the printer given this model’s price is a small price to pay, it should be noted.

This offering from Hewlett-Packard can hold a full 250 sheets within an included autoloading input tray out of a total of 350 sheets (the other hundred can be fed in through a separate manual feeder slot). It can also print on a number of different media stock, giving it an additional level of versatility that matches up with the versatility already evidenced by its connectivity and print quality.

The HP LaserJet 2200 printer comes to the game with nice durability, as far as these types of printers go. Monthly duty cycle is rated at 40,000 pages per month of print product. This means that it can print out about 40,000 sheets of product before needing any sort of required maintenance. It has the ability to run off of Mac OS 7.7.7 and most Windows OSs. For $120 retail and decent print speeds, it hard to find much to nitpick about when it comes to this laser printer.

Every sheet produced by the HP LaserJet 2200 toner will show your commitment to professionalism.  Value is in the results of using HP toner and in finding the best way to order replacement toner.
