Natural Beauty

One of the best parts about Toronto is its natural beauty and extraordinarily clean streets. This means that walking is the best way to explore. Green areas like the Toronto Botanical Gardens are definitely worth visiting, as is the CN Tower, the tallest tower in the world. As you might imagine, the views from the top are amazing, and some days you can catch a glimpse of Niagara Falls.

Microbreweries

Toronto is the perfect place to be if you are a lover of beer, as there are a handful of microbreweries located in the city, and free samples can be found everywhere. Many of the breweries have excellent restaurants as well. The tour at Steam Whistle Brewery is not only fun, interesting, and very inexpensive, but the free samples flow like Niagara Falls.

Casa Loma

One thing you absolutely cannot miss out on is Casa Loma. Constructed in the early 1900s to match the castles of Medieval Europe, Casa Loma is an absolutely breathtaking sight with it’s huge towers and lovely gardens. Inside, you’ll find 98 rooms in total, secret passageways, an 800-foot tunnel, plenty of impressive art, and more.

You’ll probably find it very hard to resists investigating further after catching a glimpse of its unique exterior. There are thousands of things on display in over 20 exhibits, including the world’s tallest totem pole. Subjects of these exhibits vary wildly, from dinosaurs to Medieval Europe to Canada’s native populations.

Shopping Experience

For a great shopping experience, there are plenty of places you can go, and St. Lawrence Market is one of them. You’ll find cuisine from every corner of the world in this market, as well as some fun and eclectic flea markets in this old Victorian building, a building that was once City Hall. Just a few blocks away is Yonge Street, which holds the Guinness World Record for being the longest main street. On this street, you’ll find the World’s Largest Bookstore (a name that carries truth!), record shops, bargain clothing shops, souvenir stores, and more. Also check out the oldest train station in Canada, Union Station, which is located on the street and is absolutely gorgeous.
