HP LaserJet 2300L – Get A Quality Machine For Your Office

The HP LaserJet 2300L printer is a high-quality media device with many modern features even though it, and several others of the 2300 series, has been discontinued by HP. It uses HP LaserJet 2300L toner cartridges that are easily replaceable.  It uses standard printer paper and is capable of reliably producing 30,000 pages per month. These are excellent baseline numbers for any printer.

The performance specifications for the 2300L include a factory-issue 32 MB of internal memory, expandable up to 288 MB. It has a 266 MHz processor, and at factory specifications it is capable of printing up to twenty pages per minute at 1,200 x 1,200 dpi which, compared to other models of the same caliber is still pretty average. Combine that with a total two-tray capacity of 1,700 pages and it is possible to print nonstop for well over an hour.

Like the other printers in its series, the 2300L is able to employ many different styles of media and stationary to fit your everyday needs. Standard letter, envelopes, legal paper, executive paper, and 8.5″ x 14″ sheets are all acceptable media types. In addition, the printer can allow custom media sizes, anywhere from 3″ x 5″ to 8.5″ x 14″, making almost any paper-like surface possible printing material.

One characteristic it does not share with similar printers is its physical size. At 31.3 lbs, it is significantly lighter than other printers with comparable statistics. With dimensions of 16.2″ x 17.7″ x 15.6″, it will fit nicely on a large desk or in a small office.

The HP LaserJet 2300L is also backwards-compatible with older computers. The B-size bidirectional parallel port will allow older hardware to connect to the printer, while the newer, industry-standard USB 1.1 connectivity will match with nearly any desktop or notebook on the market. In addition, this printer is compatible with both Windows and Macintosh operating systems, making it viable in almost any situation.

In addition to the printer itself, upon purchase you also receive all necessary cables, a free print cartridge, software and documentation in CD-ROM format, a flyer containing support information, and a free Startup Guide to assist in installation, maintenance, and use. A control panel overlay can be included to adjust the dialect on the printer keys. This is a useful accessory in the event your primary language or work environment is not English-based.

The 2300L is affordable compared to the other members of its series. The 2300D, cheapest of the 2300s still in production, retails for $649.00, while the newer 2300dtn retails for a somewhat staggering $1,199.00. The 2300L, however, can be found on a store shelf for $470.00, or a refurbished one can be purchased in some places for less than $100, striking an excellent balance between performance and affordability.

While there are technically more advanced or more affordable printers on the market, the HP LaserJet 2300L printer strikes an excellent balance between the two. It is easily maintained and serviced, which helps reduce downtime and overhead costs. Whether you already own a 2300L or are in the market for a new printer, it is certainly worth a second look.

There is certainly nothing technically lacking in the HP LaserJet 2300L toner used by this machine.  HP toner meets the excellent standard HP itself sets for its products.  There is money to be saved every time you order toner when you do so online.
