Toronto, Ontario – One Of The Best Family-Friendly Destinations In The World

by erin on October 19, 2010

As one of the most family-friendly destinations on earth, Toronto is an ideal choice for your family’s next vacation. Introducing your children to new cultures around the world is an important part of shaping them into informed adults. Although the culture of Canada is not considerably different as that of countries like China or South Africa, a great deal can still be learned from these northern neighbors of the United States. But if you’re planning to travel out of the country, obtaining travel documents is a necessary evil, as well as getting a childrens passport.

An easy way to secure your travel documents is using an online passport company. These companies provide services like expediting U S passports if your travel plans are last minute. This way, you can get on your way and not have to stress out about crossing the border.

Toronto is made up of districts, and planning your trip around the attractions available at each district is a good idea. These districts are Downtown Toronto, Etobicoke, York, East York, North York, and Scarborough. Downtown is the busy urban hub of Toronto, with all the experiences you would associate with a downtown experience. Etobicoke is an industrial area, as well as the location of the airport. York is incredibly ethnically diverse, and North York and East York are home to a few colleges, the Toronto Aerospace Museum, the Botanical Gardens, and a seemingly endless supply of places to shop. Scarborough also features malls, as well as some beautiful parks.

To see the huge city of Toronto, I’d suggest visiting the famous CN tower. Dozens of stories up, you’ll find an observation area that is perfect for getting a bird’s eye view of all that Toronto has to offer. This observation deck is indoors and outdoors, and provides a transparent floor for an even more incredible view of the city.

While the busy city life of Toronto is part of its charm, there are places where you and your family can go to escape the city life for a while. Centre Island is an oasis in the middle of the hectic city. Part of the biggest car-free urban community in the world, Centre Island is the perfect place to relax and enjoy the sunshine. There are plenty of great places to eat, beautiful beaches, an amusement park (perfect for kids!), and you get to take a ferry to reach the island, which is an experience in itself.

If you’re looking for a different kind of urban experience, the Distillery District in Downtown Toronto is the place to go. This district provides lots of restaurants, pubs, and cafes with delicious cuisine to fill up on. The streets are lined with classic architecture, so bring a camera. If theater is your thing, this district is a hub for performing arts in Toronto.

Toronto is a city full of adventure and incredible sightseeing. If you’re bringing the kids, just be sure to pick up minor passports. If your travel plans are imminent, expediting pasport delivery might be a requirement in order to go on your vacation. Do some research online to find more information about faster delivery options, as this is an important task to tackle. Toronto is a fun destination, and it’d be a shame to miss out on your travel plans if you don’t have the necessary travel documents.
